The personal poster exhibition of Serhey Stelmashonok "Victorian Epoch, or Belle Еpoque" at the Congress Hall of hotel "Victoria"
Minsk, January 14, 2011. The exhibition by the artist Sergey Stelmashonok "Victorian Epoch, or Belle Еpoque", timed to coincide with the ceremony of awarding laureates of II Annual Marketing Award "Success Energy-2010", was opened at the Congress Hall of hotel "Victoria" on January 14.
It is truly symbolic that the exhibition featuring bright, unique, positive cats of character was running at the same time as celebrating and awarding not the products or brands, but the personalities of marketing specialists.
Commenting on the name of the exhibition, the artist Sergey Stelmashonok said that very often the things that we see around us have been created long ago. Does it mean that we live in the past? Of course not, it's just our history tactfully reminding us about itself.
In fact, the works exhibited at hotel "Victoria" are connected not only by Sergey Stelmashonok's favourite character - cats of all kinds - but also the charm of Past Perfect - our past which was perfect - Victorian epoch.
History is very swift-flowing, that's why this exhibition ran for one day only. It featured the cycle "Postage Stamps", one poster from the popular cycle "Rock Cats" and some brand new works, dedicated to the way humanity communicates with the surrounding world and creatures in it.
